Uri Auerbach is an Australian multimedia artist, working in photography, installation, video and sculpture. Clean Room is a conceptual installation work, exploring the way people use gas to attract, repel or destroy others. Clean Room consists of an empty, white painted brick room and an array of four automatic air fresheners (aerosol fragrance dispensers), which participants can enter and leave through a single door. The installation deliberately creates a space for the evocation of feelings and emotions through the olfactory senses, in turn provoking the imagination via those emotions.
